Contemplative_PrayerCONTEMPLATIVE PRAYER GROUP

Join Holly Sacks, parishioner and practitioner / teacher of Meditation and Contemplative Prayer for a weekly study and practice of the traditions of Contemplative Prayer. This group is ongoing and meets on Zoom. Our practices include centering prayer, mindfulness meditation, lectio divina, and contemplative book study. Karen will guide you through specific sequences for the lower back, upper back, neck, shoulders, managing stress, and using breath adaptations for enhanced energy and for calming the system. You will need a yoga mat, yoga blanket and a towel. For those with sensitive joints, feel free to bring two mats if you have them. Chairs are available for each person, as they offer extra support and stability. Classes are offered by donation. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

EFM_LogoEDUCATION FOR MINISTRY (EfM)

Are you hoping to understand how your personal experiences and beliefs bring you closer to God and God’s people? If “yes, EfM (Education for Ministry) may be for you. Through study, prayer, worship, and reflection, EfM seminar groups journey together through scripture, church history, and theology.

In years 1& 2, we study the Hebrew Scriptures, the Gospels, and the New Testament. Year 3 looks at Church History. Year 4 reads systematic theology, developing and enhancing one’s own practice. A year long class is $330 plus books.

Karen and Linda are Certified Laughter Yoga Leaders through Laughter Yoga International. St. Pat’s Laughter Club has been meeting for over 2 years.
