The arts program is a nonprofit youth development program. Our mission is to help community youth achieve self-discipline, self-confidence and self-esteem through the performing arts. We introduce young people to the joys and opportunities found in arts education. Our program fosters listening, learning and creative skills through the hands on approach. We believe education and participation in the arts contribute to the healthy development of young people. In an era of reduced funding for the arts in schools, we are committed to providing young people with this gateway.
We welcome and include all children, including those with special needs. Music, song, instruments, drama and dance are taught in a nurturing, child-centered manner. Children of all ages are invited to attend our classes and workshops.
We currently meet Thursday afternoons from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm. There will be a Summer Arts Program which will meet for six weeks starting June 22th from 9:30 am to 12 pm, Monday thru Thursday. During the summer session the emphasis will be on vocal performance and musical theater along with music theory and instrumental lessons.
